Bandipora, Aug 05 (KNO): The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Bandipora has prohibited photography and videography inside all the hospitals of the district without prior written permission from the concerned hospital authorities.
According to an official circular, the restriction applies to all individuals, including patients, attendants, employees, and visitors.
The order, approved by the District Magistrate Bandipora, aims to safeguard patient privacy, safety, and dignity, as well as maintain the sanctity of hospital operations.
The circular, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), states that unauthorized photography or videography will be treated as a violation of legal provisions and may attract penal action under Article 21 of the Constitution of India, the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Indian Penal Code, 1860, and the Clinical Establishments (Registration and Regulation) Act, 2010.
